Causes burns. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Harmful if swallowed. Harmful in contact with skin. Irritating to respiratory system. Inhalation : Severely irritating to the respiratory tract causing chemical burns which may result in permanent damage to the nose, throat and lungs. Skin Contact : Causes burns. Eye Contact : Causes serious eye damage. Ingestion : Harmful if swallowed.Causes digestive tract burns. Signs and Symptoms : Contact with the skin can cause chemical burns, redness, swelling, and tissue damage. Swallowing of corrosive chemicals may cause immediate pain and burning in the mouth, throat, and stomach followed by vomiting and diarrhea. Contact can cause severe eye damage including chemical burns, pain, clouding of the eye surface, inflammation of the eye, and may result in permanent loss of vision.
