SECTION 2: Hazards identification
EMERGENCY INFORMATION SUMMARY: This is a nonflammable, yellow sheet material. Dust from machined or punched may cause skin or eye irritation. Fumes, gases, and smoke from the thermal decomposition of the material may irritate eyes, nose, and throat.
Health hazards
SKIN Dust may cause skin irritation EYES Dust may cause moderate eye irritation. Fumes, gases, and smoke from thermal decomposition may irritate eyes INHALATION Fibrous glass dust may be released when the material is machined. The ACGIH(American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists) TLV (Threshold Limit Value) is 10 mg/m3 TWA(Time weighted average) for particles <5 microns in diameter. This dust classified as nuisance particulates (listed “as dust” in section Ⅱ). If no specific dusts are listed in section Ⅱ, the applicable limits for nuisance dust are OSHA(Occupation Safety & Health Administration) PEL (permissible exposure limit) 15 mg/m3 (total dust) and 5 mg/m3 (respirable fraction). INGESTION Not a normal route of entry DELAYED This product is reinforced with continuous filament fiber glass. Dust generated from cutting, EFFECTS drilling , machining etc. would not be expected to produce respirable material.
