The solid product as supplied is classified as non-hazardous under normal conditions and does not present an inhalation, ingestion, skin, or eye hazard. However, dust created when the product is processed, abraded, or crushed may cause mechanical irritation and may contain crystalline silica, some of which may be respirable. Repeated exposure to respirable crystalline silica dust may cause lung fibrosis (silicosis). This product contains more than 1% Crystalline Silica (Quartz) and is considered a Crystalline Silica Substance as specified in Victoria's Occupational Health and Safety Amendment (Crystalline Silica) Regulations 2021, S.R. No. 137/2021.
