2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
Risk identification Not classified. For human organism: Contact with skin: long-term contact can cause irritation. Contact with eye: long-term contact can cause irritation. Inhalation: high concentration of dust can cause nose irritation and irritation of upper airways with symptoms of throat sickness and chuffing. Ingestion:- small volume does not cause poisoning - large volumes may cause stomach-enteric hists and in the extreme (for infants especially) infant cyanosis (raised cyanosis around mouth). For environment: Fertilizer contains nitrates. Large amount of spilled fertilizer may cause adverse effect to the environment (surface and ground water contamination).
2.3 Other hazards
Decomposition gases containing oxides of nitrogen and ammonia can cause irritant and caustic effects on respiratory system, effect on lungs can delay.
