OSHA EMERGENCY OVERVIEW PHYSICAL STATE: Solid COLOR: Opaque Gray ODOR: Odorless Dust clouds in air can be ignited by electric sparks, hot surfaces and open flame. Moderate eye irritant. Causes skin irritation. Moderate respiratory tract irritant. Harmful if swallowed. Cancer hazard.
Potential health effects
BY ROUTE OF ENTRY EYE: Can cause moderate irritation, tearing and reddening. SKIN: Can cause moderate skin irritation, defatting, and dermatitis. Not likely to cause permanent damage. INHALATION: Can cause moderate respiratory irritation. Dust may be slightly irritating to the respiratory tract. Inhalation of dusts produced during cutting, grinding or sanding of this product may cause irritation of the respiratory tract. Overexposure to crystalline silica may cause silicosis. Overexposure to iron oxide dust/fume may cause siderosis. INGESTION: Ingestion is not an anticipated route of exposure. Harmful if swallowed. Severely irritating to mouth, throat, and stomach.
