SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Battery is hermetically sealed under normal conditions. Ingestion: Swallowing a battery can be harmful. Contents of an open battery can cause serious chemical burns of mouth, esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. Inhalation: Respiratory and eye irritation may occur if fumes are released due to heat or an abundance of leaking batteries. Skin contact: Irritation, including caustic burns/injury, may occur following exposure to a leaking battery.
