Signs/Symptoms The active ingredient, pemetrexed, is a folic acid antimetabolite, this class of compounds is known to cause developmental effects. Effects of overexposure to pemetrexed disodium may include bone marrow suppression resulting in decreased blood cell counts, inflammation of mucous membranes, skin rash, fatigue, fetal effects, and reproductive tissue changes.
