LD50, for Bifenthrin is about 54 mg/kg in female rats and 70 mg/kg in male rats. Thus, at a 10% concentration, the LD50 for this formulation is about 540mg/kg. The LD50 for rabbits whose skin is exposed to Bifenthrin is greater than 2,000 mg/kg. Bifenthrin does not sensitize the skin of guinea pigs. Although it does not cause inflammation or irritation on human skin, it can cause a tingling sensation which lasts about 12 hours. It is virtually non-irritating to rabbit eyes. harmful by inhalation and if swallowed, irritating to eyes and skin, if aspirated, may cause lung damage. This formulation also contains a low level of aromatic hydrocarbons. Inhalation of aromatic hydrocarbon vapours may cause central 2012 nervous system depression, dizziness, disturbances in vision and respiratory irritation.
