Emergency Overview No hazards are known when this fiber product is handled/processed properly and used for its intended application. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as needed. The hazards of this product are associated mainly with its processing. Processing para-aramid products can release respirable dust and respirable fiber particulate. Dust may form explosive mixture in air. Prolonged inhalation of respirable dust and respirable fiber particulate at high concentrations can cause lung damage. High concentrations of dust can irritate eyes, nose and respiratory system and cause coughing and sneezing. Continual rubbing of fiber particulates and dust on the skin can cause transitory mild irritation with redness or itching. Appearance: Yellow filament fiber with coating Physical state: Fiber Odor: Mild to Negligible IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing May cause eye irritation. May cause mild skin irritation. May be harmful if swallowed. Irritant gases/fumes may be given off during burning or thermal decomposition.
Storage
