SECTION 2: Hazards identification

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: May cause moderate eye irritation. Degree of injury will depend on amount of material that gets into the eye and the speed and thoroughness of the first aid treatment. Excessive inhalation exposure may cause irritation to upper respiratory tract and central nervous system effects. Brief contact may cause mild skin irritation and while prolonged skin contact is unlikely to result in absorption of harmful amounts, it may cause moderate skin irritation. Small amounts swallowed incidental to normal handling operations are not likely to cause injury; however, swallowing larger amounts may cause injury. SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE: Symptoms of overexposure are headaches, dizziness, numbness, nausea, lack of coordination or other central nervous system effects. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Thermal decomposition creates toxic and corrosive fumes.
