Hazard statements

Flammable solid. Self-heating: may catch fire. May be corrosive to metals. Harmful if swallowed. May be harmful in contact with skin. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.

Prevention

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Keep only in original packaging. Keep cool. Ground and bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting equipment. Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

Response

IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water [or shower]. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Specific treatment (see on this label). IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage.

Storage

Store locked up. Store in a corrosion-resistant container with a resistant inner liner. Maintain air gap between stacks or pallets. Store bulk masses greater than … kg/… lbs at temperatures not exceeding … oC/…oF. Store separately.

Disposal

Dispose of contents/container to an appropriate treatment and disposal facility in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and product characteristics at time of disposal.
