Other hazards which do not result in classification
The installed product in its final application: No dangers known. Hazards due to mechanical processing (drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.) of the product: Temporary irritation of exposed mucous membranes (eyes, throat, bronchial tubes). Prolonged skin contact may cause mild skin irritation in sensitive individuals. As with most organic and non-organic dust, inhalation of excessive dust concentrations over long periods of time can cause chronic inflammation of the bronchial tubes (occupational bronchitis). Heavy and prolonged exposure to respirabel (fine dust) quartz (crystalline silica) can cause lung cancer and other serious respiratory diseases. This risk can be minimised by follwoing safe work habits (see section 7 and 8).
