2.3 Other hazards
Das Gemisch ist chromatarm nach TRGS 613. Voraussetzung für die Wirksamkeit der Chromatreduktion ist die sachgerechte Lagerung und die Beachtung der Haltbarkeit. Sobald das trockene Gemisch mit Wasser in Kontakt kommt oder feucht wird, entsteht eine stark alkalische Lösung. Aufgrund der hohen Alkalität kann feuchter Mörtel Haut- und Augenreizungen hervorrufen. Vor allem bei längerem Kontakt (z.B. Knien im feuchten Mörtel) besteht infolge de Alkalität die Gefahr ernster Hautschäden. Bei nicht sachgerechter Lagerung (Feuchtezutritt) oder durch Überlagerung kann die Wirkung eines ggf. enthaltenen Chromatreduzierers nachlassen und eine Sensibilisierung durch Hautkontakt nicht ausgeschlossen werden.
