Principle Routes of Exposure
Skin and eye contact, ingestion and inhalation. Ingestion: Small quantities are unlikely to cause toxic effect. Swallowing of large amounts is unlikely. Large quantities may give rise to gastro-intestinal disorders. Eyes: The dust may be irritating to the eyes resulting in redness and watering, or eye infection. Skin: Skin contact with this product and dust may result in skin irritation and in some people may lead to skin sensitization. Inhaled: Inhalation of dust may irritate, inflame or sensitize the nose, throat and lungs, and aggravate pre-existing conditions such as asthma and bronchitis.
Potential chronic health
Repeated inhalation of dust may result in respiratory irritation, inflammation or sensitization resulting in illnesses ranging from hay fever and asthma to pneumonia (eg Legionnaire’s disease) and pneumonia-like illnesses. UN No.: Not regulated.
