Acute and Chronic Exposures) Eyes May cause irritation, inflammation or abrasion. Skin Absorption Prolonged and repeated contact can cause abrading or drying of skin which may result in skin irritation and dermatitis. Inhalation Prolonged exposure to dust may result in irritation of upper respiratory tract. Chronic lung injury can occur. Acute silicosis may develop in a short time with heavy exposure.
