2.3 Other hazards
The product as such is not hazardous. The hazards of this product are associated mainly with its processing. Operations such as sawing, routing, drilling and sanding can generate dust. Dust generated during handling of porcelain products can contain particles of crystalline silica (quartz). Overexposure to airborne quartz can cause silicosis. If small particles are generated during further processing, handling or by other means, may form combustible dust concentrations in air.
