Potential health effects
Eyes: May cause severe irritation with corneal injury which may result in permanent impairment of vision, even blindness. Chemical burns may occur. Skin: Prolonged skin contact is unlikely to result in absorption of harmful amounts. Brief contact may cause skin irritation with local redness. Skin contact may cause an allergic skin reaction in a small proportion of individuals. Inhalation: Prolonged excessive exposure to mist may cause adverse effects. Excessive exposure may cause irritation to upper respiratory tract (nose and throat). Ingestion: Low toxicity if swallowed. Small amounts swallowed incidentally as a result of normal handling operations are not likely to cause injury; however, swallowing larger amounts may cause injury.
