EMERGENCY OVERVIEW:Corrosive liquid. Toxic or fatal swallowed. Causes severe irritation and burns to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through skin. Can be absorbed through the skin in fatal amounts.

Acute Health Hazards
Inhation: May cause irritation of the nose and the throat. May cause spasmodic cough and difficulty in breathing. Skin: Painful irritation, delayed appearance. Risk of severe burns; slow healing. If fingernails contacted, severe pain after several hours. Risk of hypocalcemia (low serum calcium). Risk of shock. Ingestion: Severe irritation, burns, perforation of the gastrointestinal tract accompanied by shock. Risk of throat edema and suffocation. Nausea, vomiting (bloody), abdominal cramps and diarrhea (bloody), coma and death. Eyes: Burns may not be immediately painful or visible for up to 24 hours. Severe eye irritation, watering, redness and swelling of the eyelids. Risk of serious or permanent eye lesions and blindness.
