EMERGENCY OVERVIEW CONCRETE, TERRAZZO, STONE, AND SOME VINYL COMPOSITION TILE (VCT) FLOORS MAY CONTAIN CRYSTALLINE SILICA. TO AVOID EXCESSIVE EXPOSURE TO CRYSTALLINE SILICA DUST, USE ONLY THE PADS AND BURNISHING DISCS SPECIFIED IN THE CRYSTAL SHIELD™ PROCESS. SUBSTITUTION OF UNAPPROVED PADS OR DISCS MAY RESULT IN UNSAFE LEVELS OF DUST.

Principle Routes of Exposure

Skin contact. Inhalation. Eye contact. Eye contact: Dust may cause mechanical eye irritation. Safety glasses with side shields should be worn to protect against injury. Clean floor of all debris before burnishing. The burnishing machine may throw debris if the floor is not clean or if the Crystal Shield™ pad is damaged. Skin contact: Abrasive pads may damage unprotected skin. Sturdy, closed, non-slip shoes, and close fitting work clothing should be worn (e.g., long pants and shirt) to protect against injury. Inhalation: Warning When used dry, Crystal Shield™ discs and pads may produce dust. The type of floor being finished must be considered when determining whether the dust is hazardous.
