SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Warning Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. Irritant of the mucous membranes and of the respiratory tract. If swallowed, causes abdominal pain and gastric discomfort. Skin exposure can result in bleaching of the skin and hair. While this material has a low level of toxicity, good industrial hygiene practices are encouraged to minimize exposure.

Potential health effects
EYE: Eye irritant. SKIN: Skin irritant. INGESTION: May cause nausea, vomiting and stomach irritation. Very low toxicity if swallowed. Small amounts swallowed incidentally as a result of normal handling operations are not likely to cause injury; however, swallowing larger amounts may cause injury. Can cause irritation of the upper gastrointestinal tract with pain and distention of the stomach and esophagus due to liberation of oxygen. INHALATION: Harmful if inhaled, dependent on the extent of exposure. Under normal conditions, using adequate ventilation no problems are expected. Mist may irritate the mucous membranes and of the respiratory tract. CHRONIC (CANCER) INFORMATION: Not listed by IARC or NTP as a carcinogen. TERATOLOGY (BIRTH DEFECT) INFORMATION: Not classified as a teratogen. REPRODUCTION INFORMATION: Does not harm reproductive cells.
