SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Do not use nitrosating agents with this product since nitrosamines may form. Some nitrosamines have been shown to be carcinogenic in test with laboratory animals. May be slightly irritating to eyes and skin. Ingestion may cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Potential health effects
EYE: Moderate to severe eye irritant. SKIN: May cause irritation. INGESTION: May cause nausea, vomiting and stomach irritation. Call a Physician. INHALATION: Under normal conditions, using adequate ventilation no problems are expected Inhalation of concentrated vapors can cause irritation of the nose and throat with chest discomfort, cough, difficulty breathing and shortness of breath. CHRONIC (CANCER) INFORMATION: Diethanolamine (CAS 111-42-2) is listed as 2B Possibly carinogenic in humans by IARC, and as A3 Confirmed animal carcinogen with unknown relevance to humans by ACGIH. Cocamide DEA (CAS 68603-42-9) is listed as 2B Possibly carcinogenic to humans by IARC. TERATOLOGY (BIRTH DEFECT) INFORMATION: Not classified as a teratogen. A raw material in this product has caused birth defects in laboratory animals when ingested in high doses by pregnant animals. REPRODUCTION INFORMATION: Does not harm reproductive cells.
