SECTION 2: Hazards identification
This material is practically non-toxic, acute toxicity by ingestion is low. Chronic absorption of this silver, may cause "Argyria", a blue/grey discolouration of various tissues. Localised argyria may occur on the skin as a result of particles becoming embedded in the skin or respiratory tract following inhalation of silver dust. Generalised argyria is recognised by the pigmentation of the skin, eyes and nails and results from the inhalation of silver. This is normally only manifest after many years of overexposure. The product is in a powder form with its particle size range of 40 to 75 microns it is categorised as an inhalable dust.
