Potential health effects
EYE CONTACT: Causes eye Irritation upon direct contact, but no permanent eye injury Is expected. SKIN CONTACT: May causo skin Irritation on prolonged or repeated contact. iNGESTION: May be harmtul if swallowed In large quantities. INHALATION: Overexposure to dust may cause respkatory irritation. CHRONIC: This product contains a smail amount of crystalline silica, a naturally occurring impurity In calclum carbonate. NTP has listed crystalline silica as a known human carcinogen based on Increased lung cancer rates In workers exposed to respirabie-size (breathabie) crystalline silica, primarily quartz and crystabolite, that are generated during sandblasting or similar actlvilles in an occupational setting. IARC has determined that crystalline silica inhated In the form of quartz or crystabolite from occupational sources Is carcinogenic to humans. However, no significant health risk to employees Is expected during product manufacturing or occupational use.
