SECTION 2: Hazards identification

Main Hazard: Irritant to the skin. Chemical Hazard: None known. Eye Contact: Irritating to eyes, avoid contact at all times. Skin Contact: Prolonged or repeated contact may dry the skin and cause irritation. Ingestion: Do not swallow. May cause gastrointestinal irritation. Inhalation: Low irritant. FIRST AID Eye Contact: Immediately flush opened eye with gently flowing water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation occurs. Skin Contact: Rinse with soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Inhalation: Supply fresh air. Essentially non hazardous. Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Consult medical practitioner if large amounts are ingested. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing Media: Non flammable. Special Hazards: Absorb runoff with sand or similar material. Surrounding area may become slippery. Protective Clothing: Not pertinent. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal Precautions: Use appropriate protective clothing. Wear safety goggles, rubber / PVC gloves. Environmental Precautions: As per good environmental practices, prevent contamination of drains and waterways, with large quantities of undiluted product. Measures for cleaning up: For small spills flush away with plenty of water. For large spills, contact supplier and advise local authorities. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling: No special measures required however should be used with caution and follow instructions. Storage: Store in a cool place, well ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION Precautionary Measures: None specific. Hygiene Measures: Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst working and wash hands before breaks and after work. Respiratory: No specific requirement. Hand Protection: Appropriate gloves should be worn to maintain adequate GMP standards. Eye Protection: Protective goggles or safety glasses. Other Protection: Not Applicable.
