SECTION 2: Hazards identification
EYE CONTACT: May cause moderate irritation and moderate corneal injury. Vapor may cause irritation to eyes as well. SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged contact may cause irritation and defatting of skin. INHALATION: May cause nose and throat irritation. May cause nervous system depression characterized by the following progressive steps: headache, dizziness, nausea, staggering gait, confusion, unconsciousness. Reports have associated repeated and prolonged overexposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage. INGESTION: Aspiration may cause rapid absorption through the lungs, which may result in systemic effects and gastro-intestinal distress IMPORTANT NOTICE: REPEATED AND PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO SOLVENTS MAY LEAD TO PERMANENT BRAIN AND NERVOUS SYSTEM DAMAGE. EYE WATERING, HEADACHES, NAUSEA, DIZZINESS AND LOSS OF COORDINATION ARE SIGNS THAT SOLVENT LEVELS ARE TOO HIGH.
