Health hazards
Acute Eye: Causes eye irritation. Direct contact with the liquid or exposure to its vapors may cause burning, tearing and redness. Skin: Causes irritation. Symptoms include redness, burning, drying and/or cracking of the skin and dermatitis. Persons with preexisting skin disorders may be more susceptible to the effects of this material. Prolonged exposure may result in blistering. Duraguard 360 is also a potent skin sensitizer. Experience indicates that direct skin contact is the route of exposure most likely to cause sensitization. Once sensitized, an individual may react to airbonne levels below the TLV with the following symptoms: itching and tingling of the earlobe and neck, rash, hives, swelling of the arms and legs or other symptoms common to allergic dermatitis. These symptoms may be immediate or delayed several hours. Any individual having a sensitization reaction to this material should be removed from exposure to any Isocyanate. Propylene Glycol Methl Ether Acetate and aromatic hydrocarbons can cause irritation or dermatitis with prolonged or repeated skin contact. Inhalation: Inhalation of vapors or spray mist may also cause irritation to the respiratory tract (dry throat, cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness). In addition, sinusitis, bronchitis, edema or respiratory sensitization (asthma like symptoms) may occur. Excessive inhalation of vapors can also cause nasal irritation, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache, possible unconsciousness, even asphyziation. Ingestion: Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Potential health effects
Chronic Intentional abuse, misuse or other massive exposure may cause multiple organ damage (kidney and liver).
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure
Skin allergies, eczema, asthma and other respiratoroy disorders (bronchitis, emphysema) are possibly aggravated. Carcinogenicity: NTP IARC Monographs
