SECTION 2: Hazards identification
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: Digesil NC is a clear brown liquid with a petroleum order. Corrosive and combustible. Eliminate potential sources of ignition. Aspiration hazard if swallowed. May cause burns to the eyes, skin and upper-respiratory system. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment when using this product.
Health hazards
SKIN: Irritating to skin. EYES: Irritating to eyes. INHALATION: May cause irritation of the respiratory tract with sore throat, coughing, shortness of breathe and delayed lung edema INGESTION: Harmful if swallowed. Causes gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. DELAYED EFFECTS: Chronic exposure may cause effects similar to those of acute exposure.
