SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Emergency overview Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the ground to some distant source of ignition and flash back. Harmful by inhalation. Also harmful if swallowed. Vapors may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Inhalation. Ingestion. Skin contact. Eye contact Eyes Contact may irritate or burn eyes. Skin This product may cause irritation to the skin. Inhalation Irritating to the nose, throat, and respiratory tract. Inhalation of mists/vapors of this product may cause dizziness, nausea, and respiratory tract congestion. Ingestion Ingestion can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Small amounts (a tablespoonful) swallowed during normal handling operations are not likely to cause injury; swallowing amounts larger than that may cause injury. Target organs Overexposure causes kidney and liver damage.
Potential chronic health
May cause central nervous system disorder (e.g., narcosis involving a loss of coordination, weakness, fatigue, mental confusion, and blurred vision) and/or damage. Prolonged skin contact may defat the skin and produce dermatitis.
