EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: WARNING: Irritant Causes eye irritation. Harmful if swallowed. May cause skin irritation. May be harmful if absorbed through the skin. Toxic fumes are released in fire situations.

Potential health effects

Eyes May cause moderate eye irritation and corneal injury Skin: Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin irritation. Repeated skin contact may result in absorption of harmful amounts. Massive contact with damaged skin or of material sufficiently hot to burn skin may result in absorption of potentially lethal amounts. Inhalation: At room temperature, exposure to vapor is minimal due to low volatility. If material is heated or areas are poorly ventilated, vapor/mist may accumulate and cause respiratory irritation and symptoms such as headache and nausea. Ingestion: Moderate toxicity if swallowed. Small amounts swallowed incidental to normal handling operations are not likely to cause injury; however, swallowing larger amounts may cause serious injury or death. May cause nausea or vomiting, abdominal discomfort or diarrhea. Excessive exposure may cause central nervous system effects, cardiopulmonary effects (metabolic acidosis), and kidney failure.
