The Ramie yarns, solid PTFE polymer and inert lubricant have not shown risks for the human health nor for the environment. Risks come themselves when the product is brought to temperature above 400°C which starts the emission of toxic comp ounds (HF and COF2) which are not immediately visible but are extremely corrosive and can cause serious burns
