EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Potential health effects
Routes of Hazard Basis for Determination Inhalation; Ingestion; Skin Absorption Under normal conditions use in well ventilated space, the concentration of minor components in the workplace will not exceed TLV or PEL limits. EFFECTS OF ACUTE OVEREXPOSURE: Ingestion may cause irritation or discomfort to stomach. Dust can irritate the eyes and upper respiratory system. Slurry can dry skin and cause alkali burns. EFFECTS OF CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE: Repeated and/or prolonged contact with skin may cause skin irritation and/or dermatitis. Dust may cause inflammation of the tissue linings of the eyes and cornea. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE: Reduced visibility, may cause unpleasant deposits in the eyes, ears, mouth and nasal passages. Difficulty breathing; abraded skin. EYES AND SKIN: Contact with eyes can cause irritation and redness which is transient. Prolonged contact with skin may cause skin irritation and dermatitis. INHALATION AND INGESTION: If ingested, give 2 glasses of water to drink. Call a physician.
