Section 2
SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 Classification of the substance or mixture
2.3 Other hazards
This substance/mixture contains no components considered to be either persistent, bioaccumula- tive and toxic (PBT), or very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB) at levels of 0.1% or higher.
ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
The substance/mixture does not contain components considered to have endocrine disrupting properties according to REACH Article 57(f) or Commission Delegated regu- lation (EU) 2017/2100 or Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/605 at levels of 0.1% or higher.
TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
The substance/mixture does not contain components considered to have endocrine disrupting properties according to REACH Article 57(f) or Commission Delegated regulation (EU) 2017/2100 or Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/605 at levels of 0.1% or higher. The substance has been assessed and/or tested for its physical, health and environmental haz- ards and the following classification applies. The product contains less than 1% w/w RCS (respirable crystalline silica) as determined by the SWeRF method. The respirable crystalline silica content can be measured using the “Size- Weighted Respirable Fraction – SWeRF” method. All details about the SWeRF method is availa- ble at www.crystallinesilica.eu. Depending on the handling and use (grinding, drying, bagging), airborne respirable dust may be generated. Dust contains respirable crystalline silica. Prolonged and or massive inhalation of res- pirable crystalline silica dust may cause lung fibrosis, commonly referred to as silicosis. Principal symptoms of silicosis are cough and breathlessness. Occupational exposure to respirable dust should be monitored and controlled. The product should be handled using methods and tech- niques that minimize or eliminate dust generation.
2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
