Signs and Symptoms of Exposure General While pea protein is not considered a major allergen, it is possible that pea protein may cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals. Canola protein products are also manufactured in the same facility using shared equipment. Individuals allergic to mustard are believed to also be allergic to canola protein. Skin May cause mild skin irritation. Inhalation May cause irritation of respiratory tract. Eye contact: May cause irritation. Fire and Explosion Hazards: As with any organic dust, airborne particles may be explosive under certain conditions. Maintain normal good housekeeping.
