2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
The mixture is classified according to: Hazardous chemical(s) under OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
Hazard categories
Handle as a potential biohazardous material under at least Biosafety containment. The standard A is not known to cause disease in healthy adult humans. The standard A has NOT been screened for Hepatitis B, human immunodeficiency viruses or other adventitious agent unless otherwise reported on Certificate of Analysis. 3. Composition/Component Information Description: A mixture of components that may include, but is not limited to: inorganic salts, vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates and other nutrients dissolved in water). Product contains a 5%-10% solution of Dimethyl sulfoxide as a cryoprotectant. Ingredients: Not hazardous, however product should be handled according to good laboratory practices.
