Principle Routes of Exposure
Eyes: Yes Skin: Yes Oral: Yes Inhalation: Yes Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Eye contact: Moderate irritation will occur causing redness or swelling. Skin contact: Short and long term exposure may cause mild irritation or dry skin. Inhalation: Dust may irritate nose and throat. Ingestion: If ingested, ammonium sulfate may cause considerable gastric upset, ulceration or hemorrhage of the G.I. tract and diarrhea. Systemic ammonia poisoning is possible if sufficient absorption occurs.
