Acute toxicity: Virtually nontoxic after a single ingestion. Virtually nontoxic after a single skin contact. Irritation / corrosion: Not irritating to the skin. May cause slight irritation to the eyes. Sensitization: Skin sensitizing effects were not observed in animal studies. The substance did not cause skin sensitization in humans. Chronic toxicity: Carcinogenicity: In long-term studies in rats in which the substance was given by feed, a carcinogenic effect was not observed.
Teratogenic Effects
No indications of a developmental toxic / teratogenic effect were seen in animal studies Genotoxicity: The substance was not mutagenic in bacteria. The substance was not mutagenic in mammalian cell culture. The substance was not genotoxic in mammalian cell culture. Signs and symptoms of overexposure: The most important known symptoms and effects are described in the labelling (see section 2) and/or in section 11. No applicable information available.
Environmental effects
Aquatic toxicity: No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility. There is a high probability that the product is not acutely harmful to aquatic organisms. The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced to biological treatment plants in appropriate low concentrations. Terrestrial toxicity: With high probability not acutely harmful to terrestrial organisms. No effects at the highest test concentration. Degradation / environmental fate: Readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).
