SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Appearance: High viscosity gum (pink) on release liners Stability and reactivity: Product may prematurely polymerize from gum to rubber when exposed to excess heat. Product may form formaldehyde vapors at temperatures above 149C (300F) in the presence of air. Product may form trace quantities of benzene vapors at temperatures above 149C (300F) in the presence of air. Product may form trace quantities of methanol when exposed to excess moisture.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Skin and eye contact Additional precautions: Product may contain low levels of phenylheptamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and 2,6-cis- diphenylhexamethylcyclotetrasiloxane which are estrogen like chemicals. Estrogens are hormone substances which affect the reproductive system.
