SECTION 2: Hazards identification

Exposure Effects: Eyes: liquid can cause severe, permanent damage and loss of vision; vapors cause irritation. Inhalation: may cause irritation of upper respiratory tract, bronchitis and/or bronchopneumonia; massive exposure may cause acute poisoning, visual impairment and death. Ingestion: POISON, may be fatal if ingested. Severe abdominal pain, unconsciousness, collapse, temporary or permanent visual impairment, death Skin: may cause dermatitis, prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin sensitization. FIRST AID Treat as an emergency - never give anything to an unconscious person. Eyes: immediately irrigate with a warm, gentle stream of water, for at least twenty minutes while holding eye lids open. Secure medical attention. Inhalation: remove patient to fresh air, keep warm and quiet. Use oxygen if required. Secure medical attention. Give cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) if the heart has stopped, or artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Ingestion: do NOT induce vomiting. Wash mouth. If conscious administer 8 oz (240 ml) of milk or water. Secure medical attention immediately. If vomiting occurs, administer fluids above again. Contact poison control center. If unconscious or in convulsions, secure transportation to a hospital immediately. Skin: remove contaminated clothing, flush contaminated skin with water and wash with mild soap. Q.1
