2.1 Classification of the substance or mixture
Depending on the type of handling and use, airborne respirable crystalline silica may be generated. Prolonged and/or massive inhalation of respirable silica dust may cause silicosis. Occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica should be monitored and controlled. This product should be handled with care to avoid dust generation. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. Suspected of causing cancer. May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure.
