1 of 5 CL-2 Mist and solutions will cause skin and/or severe eye irritation or burns to the skin. Material may sensitize the skin. Inhalation: Will cause severe irritation to the respiratory tract. May cause lung damage. Ingestion: Toxic! May irritate the gastrointestinal tract with nausea, vomiting, cramps and diarrhea. May cause rapid heartbeat and irregular breathing. Lethal dose of Sodium Nitrite is 1-2 grams. Repeated and or prolonged exposure may cause headaches, visual problems and reduced blood pressure. May be absorbed through the skin, causing systemic poisoning.
