LC50 values for alkylphenol ethoxylates range from approximately 1 to 15 mg/L for 1 to 10 mole ethylene oxide adducts and increase as the number of ethylene oxide units increase. As the moles of ethylene oxide increase beyond 10 moles, the LC50 values rise more quickly. The LC50 for the 30 mole ethylene oxide adduct of nonylphenol is greater than 1,000 mg/L.
