Potential chronic health

Not available Inhalation Can cause moderate irritation to the lungs and mucous membranes. When handled as this data sheet indicates and in accordance with all regulations, the amount of chlorine present in the mixture is not expected to present a serious health hazard, and the nitrogen component is a simple asphxyiant. Whilst being non-toxic as supplied, the release of large amounts of mixture either through accident or poor work practice, could displace atmospheric oxygen to hazardous levels, or lead to a build up of the heavier-than-air chlorine component in confined and/or poorly ventilated spaces to hazardous levels. Due caution must be exercised and all exposure standards for components rigorously observed, and atmospheric oxygen levels maintained above 18%. Ingestion Not a likely route of exposure as material is gaseous at room temperature. Skin May cause irritation inn contact with skin. Also sudden or uncontrolled gas release may cause physical injury. Eye May cause irritation to the eyes; contact lenses should not be worn as a precaution against trapping gas underneath. Sudden or uncontrolled release of compressed gas may also cause physical injuries.
