SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Emergency Overview -White to pale liquid with weak aromatic odor. -Thermal decomposition may form toxic gasses. -For larger exposures or fire, wear personal protective equipments. -Highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. -Keep away from drains and water sources.
Health hazards
Harmful if inhaled or swallowed. -Dust ,mist or vapor irritating to eyes and respiratory tract. -May cause skin irritation. May cause temporary itching, tingling, burning or numbness of exposed skin, called paresthesia. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES: - FLASH POINT - Not autoflammable EXTINGUISHING MEDIA : Use dry chemicals. Foam ,CO2 or dry chemical. Soft stream of water fog only if needed. FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD: Slightly combustible. Material may not support combustion at elevated temperatures. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Isolate fire area. Evacuate down wind. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure and protective gears. Do not smoke gasses or vapor generated.
