This product is a white to off-white cream supplied in 1 fluid ounce
Health hazards
In the workplace, exposure via eye contact may cause irritation. Ingestion may be harmful. Inhalation is unlikely due to viscosity. Prolonged skin contact may cause redness or skin discomfort and systemic effects as described under therapeutic use. Skin contact may cause sensitization and allergic skin reactions. In therapeutic use, the most common adverse reactions reported have included burning, itching, irritation, dryness, infection in the hair follicles, abnormal hair growth, acne, hypopigmentation, small bumps around mouth, allergic contact dermatitis, tissue softening, secondary infection, skin atrophy, stripping of skin and sweat rash. Inhibition of bone formation, suppression of calcium absorption and delayed wound healing have been reported. Repeated skin exposure to corticosteroids (such as Hydrocortisone) may cause adverse reproductive effects, based on animal data. Limited evidence of harm to fetus, as a corticosteroid. These effects may be possible as a result of workplace exposure. See Section 11 (Toxicological Information) for information on other potential health hazards known from therapeutic use. Reactivity Hazards: This product is not reactive. Flammability Hazards: This product may be combustible and ignite if exposure to high temperature or direct flame for a prolonged period. When involved in a fire, this material may decompose and produce irritating vapors and toxic compounds (including acrolein, carbon, potassium and nitrogen oxides).
Environmental hazards
Large quantities released to the aquatic and terrestrial environment may have an adverse effect. Emergency Considerations: Emergency responders should wear appropriate protection for situation to which they respond.
