EMERGENCY OVERVIEW Appearance: white to off-white powder. Caution! May cause eye and skin irritation. May cause respiratory and digestive tract irritation. May change color when exposed to light or air. Target Organs: Kidneys.
Potential health effects
Eye: Dust may cause mechanical irritation. Skin: May cause skin irritation. Ingestion: May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. May cause headache, nausea, fatigue, and dizziness. Ingestion of large amounts of vitamin D may result in hypercalcemia. Inhalation: Inhalation of dust may cause respiratory tract irritation. Chronic: Prolonged hypercalcemia may result in a deposition of calcium salts in the soft tissues, most significantly the kidney.
