Not classified as Hazardous according to the criteria of the Australian Safety and Compensation Council ASCC (formerly NOHSC) Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:1008] 3rd Edition. Graphite is not classified as Dangerous Goods according to the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail.

Other hazards which do not result in classification
No additional hazards are known except those derived from the labeling. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness. This material is a static accumulator. Even with proper grounding and bonding, this material can still accumulate an electrostatic charge. If sufficient charge is allowed to accumulate, electrostatic discharge and ignition of flammable air-vapour mixtures can occur. Toxic to aquatic organisms.
