SECTION 2: Hazards identification
Emergency Overview: Clear, amber colored liquid with a slightly irritating odor. Warning! Material is harmful if swallowed. Material causes skin irritation and prolonged contact may lead to sensitization and an allergic skin reaction. Material causes eye irritation. Inhalation may cause respiratory tract irritation and ingestion may result in irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Eye and skin contact, breathing vapors Symptoms of Exposure Eye Contact: May cause eye irritation, redness and tearing. Elevated temperatures may generate sufficient vapor levels to cause eye irritation. Skin Contact: Material is irritating to skin and can lead to pain, redness, dryness and increased skin sensitization. Exposure is not likely to result in absorption in harmful amounts. Inhalation: Inhalation may cause upper respiratory tract irritation as well as delayed lung injury. Ingestion: Not harmful under normal conditions of use. Ingestion in large amounts may cause injury and lead to irritation of the gastrointestinal tract. Effect of Over-exposure: Respiratory tract irritation and coughing. Pre-existing skin disorders may be aggravated by over-exposure. Prolonged inhalation may have central nervous system effects. Chronic and Other Health Effects: None known.
