Emergency Overview: Danger! Flammable! Irritant! Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Respiratory sensitizer. Skin sensitizer. Harmful if inhaled. Causes serious eye irritation. Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Causes skin irritation. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Harmful or fatal if liquid is aspirated into lungs. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. May cause respiratory irritation. Lung damage and respiratory sensitization may be permanent. May cause allergic skin reaction. Suspected of causing cancer.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Eye and skin contact, breathing vapors Symptoms of Exposure Eye Contact: Contact causes serious eye irritation, redness and tearing. Elevated temperatures may generate sufficient vapor levels to cause eye irritation. Skin Contact: Material is irritating to skin and can lead to redness, dryness and increased skin sensitization. Exposure is not likely to result in absorption in harmful amounts. Inhalation: Do not breathe vapor or mist. Harmful or fatal if liquid is aspirated into lungs. Ingestion: Material may be irritating to digestive tract if swallowed and may be harmful in large amounts. Effect of Over-exposure: Drowsiness or dizziness. Chronic and Other Health Effects: Suspected of cancer through prolonged or repeated exposure.
