Principle Routes of Exposure
Eye and skin contact, breathing vapors, ingestion, and skin absorption Symptoms of Exposure Eye Contact: Causes eye irritation. Skin Contact: Causes skin irritation. Harmful if absorbed though skin. Prolonged or repeated contact can result in defatting and drying of the skin which may result in skin irritation and dermatitis. Inhalation: Harmful if inhaled. Vapors can cause irritation of the respiratory tract. High concentrations can cause headache, nausea, weakness, lightheadedness, and stupor. Ingestion: May be fatal if swallowed. Harmful or fatal if liquid is aspirated into lungs. Effect of Over-exposure: Respiratory tract irritation and coughing. Pre-existing skin disorders may be aggravated by over-exposure. Prolonged exposure may cause headache, nausea, weakness, lightheadedness, and stupor. Chronic and Other Health Effects: Suspect cancer hazard.
