Emergency Overview: Danger! Flammable liquid and vapor. May be harmful if swallowed. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Suspected of causing cancer. Causes serious eye irritation. Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. May cause respiratory irritation. May cause skin irritation.
Principle Routes of Exposure
Eye and skin contact, breathing vapors Symptoms of Exposure Eye Contact: Contact causes severe eye irritation, redness and tearing. Elevated temperatures may generate sufficient vapor levels to cause eye irritation. Skin Contact: Material may cause skin irritation and can lead to redness, dryness and increased skin sensitization. Material causes skin burns. Inhalation: Large amounts of vapor from heated material may cause upper respiratory tract irritation. Vapor irritation not likely a problem at room temperature. Ingestion: Ingestion in large amounts may cause injury. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Effect of Over-exposure: Repeated or prolonged exposure result in damage to liver and kidney. Chronic and Other Health Effects: Target organ damage. Suspected of causing cancer.
